At the Threshold

At the Threshold, A Photographic Series

Growing up in rural Michigan, abandoned places were an iconic feature. Scattered across the landscape, they were an endless source of intrigue. I longed to discover the fragmented stories they symbolized. Now, as tearing them down becomes more cost effective, the idea of abandoned houses is being abandoned. It fills me with an urgency to document these relics, which are at the threshold of disappearing, to bear witness to them and the build-up of memories, stories, and lives.
