Alien Land, A Photographic Series

The Alien Land series is comprised of combinations of landscape photographs I have taken as I travel the back roads around where I live, and abstract paintings of mine I have scanned into my computer and manipulated. Merging them with the scenery of my home, I have created a horizon that is both familiar and alien, which speaks to the changes I have witnessed as I grow older in the surroundings I was born and raised in. These images are also a part of the Tied to the Land collection.
